The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) will add Women's flag football as a sport in the spring of 2021 with an official championship in the spring of 2022.

The GHSA is pleased to announce that girls' flag football will be a sanctioned activity starting with the 2020-2021 season. The Atlanta Falcons will be providing grants to a select number of schools that would like to offer the sport, but may not be able to due to financial constraints.
